Kristine has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western Michigan University. Introduced to costume design via community theater when her daughter, Madelynn, started acting she has been working in costumes for the past 12 years and has well over 25 shows under her belt. She has designed the costumes for Brighton High School’s Pippin, Robin Hood, Honeymoon in Vegas, White Christmas, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Grease, Beauty and the Beast and Alice in Wonderland. Other credits include The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and Seussical for Encore Youth Theater; Hunchback of Notre Dame, Oklahoma! and Sherlock Holmes for Hartland High School. Why the love of costumes? Costumes are the first impression that you have of the character before they open their mouth-it really does establish who they are.-Colleen Atwood, favorite costume designer. Aside from costume design Kristine loves attending theater, concerts, travelling and the beach. Se has three wonderful children Madelynn, Mackenzie and Zach and a very understanding husband, Mark.
